A man in Ohio has been arrested after he allegedly hit his baby daughter on the mouth and
caused her death.
24-year-old Shavale Johnson is said to have attacked the 3-month-old after which she was
pronounced dead at a hospital.
The baby’s mother called 911 to report the incident at about midnight and she has been cleared of
all wrongdoing.
Shavale Johnson is being held on $2000,000 bond on a charge of child endangerment forthe death of

Police wrote in court records that Johnson, who was due in court this morning, “did strike the child
with a closed fist causing serious physical harm.” Police said charges against Johnson are likely to be
upgraded after an autopsy.
