A veteran Arkansas gynecologist is on the lam after a
patient accused the 68-year-old doc of photographing
her nude private parts without her consent during an
exam at his private practice.
Paul Becton Jr. hasn’t been seen after state police
issued an arrest warrant on five counts of video
voyeurism on Monday and is reportedly out of town.
The alleged pervy practitioner snapped pictures of a
patient’s “pubic region and her buttocks” without her
consent April 1 during a routine exam, the woman told
Paragould police. Arkansas State Police later got a
search warrant to seize Becton’s cellphone on April
10.
“Found in the deleted images within the hard-drive of
the cellular telephone were numerous images of nude
females that appear to have been taken in a medical
office during medical examinations,” the arrest warrant
reads. “Also recovered during the examination were
what appear to be photographs” of the woman who first
reported the crime, the document reads.
It’s unclear how many victims there may have been,
but so far, the alleged creepy quack faces charges only
related to the five images found on the original patient
who saw him photographing her.
According to his bio on the Becton Women’s Clinic
website in Paragould, Becton has more than three
decades of experience “delivering babies and giving
women excellent medical care in Arkansas.”
A receptionist who answered the phone at his private
practice, located within the Arkansas Methodist
Medical Center, said the doctor was not in and that she
did not know when he would be.
