BREAKING NEWS: ASUP STRIKE WILL END SOON.

The Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike
has declared that the lingering strike action by the
Academic Staff Union Of Polytechnics, ASUP and
Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union, COEASU
would soon come to an end.
According to him, President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan has
intervened to resolve the protracted impasse.
Wike, while fielding questions from newsmen recently
assured the Nigeria general public, that the Federal
Government would soon resolve all lingering strikes in
the education sector.
Recall that ASUP downed tools since October 2013,
indicating that in the last seven months, Polytechnics
students have been at home, while the Colleges of
Education Academic Staff Union has also been on
industrial action since December 2013.
Wike said, “No government will be happy that students
are roaming the street. We must promise what is
practicable. Not just making promises without fulfilling
them. Be rest assured that it will be resolved.”
