What you eat affects your body. While
eating healthily is not always easy, getting it right is very important.
The amount and type of food you eat has a major influence on your
health. If you eat a well-balanced diet, it can reduce your risk of
various diseases as well as help you maintain a healthy weight.
Maintaining an overall healthy diet does not only offer your body the
energy and nutrition it needs to function, it also offers several health
benefits as well. Healthy eating starts with new ways to eat, such as
adding more fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grains and cutting back
on foods that have a lot of fat , salt and sugar.
A change for a healthier eating calls
for balance, variety and moderation. You can improve and start enjoying a
healthy balanced diet by simply eating a variety of
nutrients-based foods which include vegetables, whole grains, fruit,
nuts and seeds.
Limit the intake of sugary, fatty and
salty take-away meals and snacks and take a lot of water. One of the
easiest and tasty ways to stay healthy is to eat plenty of fruits and
vegetables because fruits and vegetables contain lots of fibre,
vitamins, minerals and antioxidants .
Vegetables can be prepared as soups or as
an ingredient in a meal, salad in different forms of coleslaw, potato
salad and so on, while fruits like orange can be squeezed and taken as
juice. Cucumber too is very good, water melon and so on can also be
taken alongside your meal. Eat the right balanced carbohydrates,
protein, vitamins, minerals, and fats and oil and be sure to have a very
healthy eating habit in the New Year.
